War news from Mexico
The Mexican American War was a battle for the west. It started with Texas and the Alamo. Santa Ana was called the Napoleon of the West. Below are links I would like you to use to work on this Wednesday's Wayback. Again we are dealing with the news of war and the political discussion that comes about from such conflicts. Remember the expansion of the country is happening. The ideas of Manifest Destiny is also taking place. Manifest Destiny is a term for the attitude prevalent during the 19th century period of American expansion that the United States not only could, but was destined to, stretch from coast to coast. This attitude helped fuel western settlement, Native American removal and war with Mexico. Further are states entering into the union slave or free?
